The Sony FX30 is an entry-level, Super 35 (APS-C) Cinema Line camera designed for filmmaking. While primarily a video-centric tool that can shoot 4K at up to 120fps, it can also capture 26-megapixel still images in the standard JPEG file format.

Photo Capabilities: Shoots single-shot JPEGs and RAW (ARW) files. It lacks a mechanical shutter and burst mode.

Video Features: 4K UHD at up to 120p, 10-bit 4:2:2 capturing, and includes S-Cinetone for a cinematic look straight out of the camera.

Dedicated Photo Mode: Switch the camera to Still Image mode using the top-mounted mode dial or the main menu. You can then set the image file format to JPEG.

Video Frame Grab: Record video and use a compatible editing app to export a high-quality JPEG frame from your 4K footage.

Stabilization: 5-axis in-body image stabilization
